Built Form and Character-Defining Elements in Chester Village - Community Survey

The Municipality of the District of Chester is working with a consultant team to develop a Built Form and Character-Defining Elements Study for Chester Village. This Study will provide analysis of local architectural styles, materials and design elements that contribute to the existing character of the Village of Chester. Character is understood in terms of:

  • Site Design and Context;
  • Building Design; and
  • Social and Community Needs.

The Study will also provide recommendations for how future development can be compatible with the village character into the future, understanding that Chester is both rooted in the past and evolving for the future.

Further information and imagery is available in the Discussion Paper

The survey will be avallable until May 23. All questions are optional.
