Thanks for reaching out with your question. Environmental protection is extremely important to the Municipality of Chester and our coastline is one of the key reasons people want to live and work here. Currently, the Nova Scotia Federation of Municipalities (NSFM) is working to develop example policy and land-use by-law language for coastal protection that can help municipalities develop a consistent foundation for coastal protection by-laws throughout the Province. We are expecting this work to be completed in 2025 and will determine our next steps at that time.
Thank you for your contribution!
