The Western Shore treatment plant is a Class 2 facility. Like many plants, the Western Shore facility treats residential wastewater using an oxidation ditch with clarifiers, and UV disinfection. Sludge is removed using a vacuum truck and then disposed of at the Kaizer Meadow treatment facility.
Major upgrades are not expected at this plant within the next five years.

Municipality of Chester owns and retains all proprietary rights in the intellectual property.
